St James Church- A Catholic Community of the Personal Ordinariate of the Chair of St Peter is a non-profit, religious organization that provides outreach and resources to people and families who desire to experience the Grace of God from the fullness of the Anglican tradition, as found in union with the Catholic Church. We are always happy to meet new people - all are welcome!
St. James Catholic Mission Church meets for weekly liturgy at the House of Prayer, 34 Ocean Ave. in St. Augustine, FL, every Saturday at 4:30 p.m. The Holy Vigil Mass is offered according to the Vatican approved Book of Divine Worship, a blend of the Book of Common Prayer and the Roman Missal, and follows the General Roman Calendar.
Many of us are former Episcopalians and Anglicans who have come to believe that Jesus' Prayer for Unity, found in the 17th chapter of the Gospel of John, is to be taken literally and visibly. We have found a true spiritual home, and invite others to worship with us, and to learn and grow in holiness and effective outreach to our St. Augustine community.

New International Version (NIV)
20 “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21 that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— 23 I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.
